Course description

Three slow days in the green heart of Bali.

Tabanan is where the old island still lives: rice terraces, village temples, and a pace that asks nothing of you. This retreat is built around Tri Hita Karana, the Balinese way of living in harmony with people, nature and the divine.

You practise yoga twice a day with a Balinese teacher, eat fresh vegetarian food, walk through the UNESCO rice terraces of Jatiluwih, make a canang offering with a local teacher, and take part in a traditional melukat water purification.

The group is small, a maximum of 12, so you are seen, looked after and never rushed.

Your teacher

I'm Ocha, a Balinese yoga teacher with more than 3,000 hours of teaching across Bali, Indonesia and Europe. I trained in a 500-hour Hatha course, Aerial and Yin trainings, and deepened my practice in Rishikesh. After 16 years across hospitality, journalism and wellness, I now host authentic Balinese retreats from my home island.

I'm also completing a master's degree in Tourism, Culture & Religion, because I care about how visitors and Balinese culture meet: with respect, and to the benefit of both.

Why this retreat feels different

  • Balinese-led. Your teacher, your guides and your ceremony are Balinese.

Perfect. Every session is gentle, and Ocha shows options for every body.

Yes. Most guests do. Rooms are shared by two, or you can book a single room.

"Is it vegetarian?"
All meals are vegetarian. Tell us about allergies and we adapt.

"What about the rainy season?"
It is the green season: warm, lush and quiet. Showers are usually short, and we plan indoor options.
